Clarity Studios is a solo brand strategy consultancy. I help business leaders define a position worth owning, build an identity that reflects their true expertise, and develop the language that wins rooms — before a proposal is ever sent.
William Evans
Founder, Clarity Studios
I started Clarity Studios because I kept seeing the same problem: exceptional businesses with mediocre brands. Professionals and companies doing genuinely excellent work — but presenting themselves in a way that undersells what they offer and leaves real money on the table.
My approach starts with strategy, not aesthetics. Before a single colour is chosen or a logo sketched, I spend time understanding what genuinely differentiates a business, who its most valuable clients are, and what those clients need to hear to choose it with confidence. The design follows. The results follow that.
"A great brand doesn't convince people to choose you. It makes the decision feel obvious."
Every engagement follows the same four-stage framework — built to deliver a brand that is genuinely distinctive, not just visually polished.
Deep conversation about the business, its clients, its competitors, and its ambitions. A full audit of existing brand assets and how they compare to the competitive landscape.
The strategic foundation: a positioning statement, competitive differentiation framework, and buyer persona analysis. This is the work most agencies skip — and why most brands fail to stick.
Brand voice guidelines, headline and copy frameworks, and distinct messaging tracks for each key buyer type. Language that is precise, persuasive, and unmistakably yours.
Logo system, colour palette, typography, and brand guidelines — all designed to express the strategy, not contradict it. Delivered with a full implementation guide.
Each engagement begins from a different starting point — and arrives at a brand that is impossible to mistake for anyone else.
Meridian Advisory Group
Independent Financial & Business Advisory — Founder-Led
Referral-only firm repositioned for inbound growth
Meridian's founder had spent 20 years building an exceptional advisory practice — deep expertise across financial performance, operations, and organisational strategy. Yet the brand was invisible. The website read like every other consultancy: experienced team, tailored solutions, client-focused approach. Every competitor said the same thing. New business came exclusively through personal referral, leaving growth entirely dependent on the founder's relationships rather than the firm's reputation.
"Most advisors tell you what they see. Meridian tells you what it means — and what to do next. Independent, analytical, and built for leaders who need more than a second opinion."
Pillar 01
Independence as a Feature
No product to sell, no institutional agenda. Meridian's independence is the differentiator — repositioned as a feature that large advisory firms structurally cannot offer.
Pillar 02
Expertise Made Visible
Two decades of sector knowledge was entirely absent from the brand. A thought leadership strategy and credential-forward identity surfaced the expertise prospects needed to see before picking up the phone.
Pillar 03
The Founder as the Brand
In a founder-led advisory firm, trust flows through the person. The brand was rebuilt to make the founder's analytical rigour and track record central — not buried in corporate language.
Wren & Company
Boutique Retail — Women's Fashion & Lifestyle
Local boutique repositioned as destination brand
Wren & Company was competing on price against national retailers — a race they couldn't win. The owner had curated an exceptional product selection with a genuine point of view, but the brand communicated nothing that justified paying more. Customers loved the store once inside; the challenge was giving them a reason to walk through the door first.
"Wren & Company doesn't follow the season. We follow the woman — her taste, her life, the version of herself she's becoming. A boutique for women who dress with intention."
Pillar 01
Curated, Not Stocked
The owner's eye for product is the brand's differentiator — positioned as a personal stylist's selection, not a retailer's inventory.
Pillar 02
Community Over Commerce
Loyalty built through events, styling sessions, and personal relationships — turning customers into advocates and repeat visitors into community members.
Pillar 03
Local Pride as Brand Asset
Being rooted in the community is repositioned as a feature, not a limitation — the antidote to impersonal national chains.
Fieldstone Coffee
Specialty Coffee — Café & Roastery
Wholesale programme launched on brand strength alone
Fieldstone had built a loyal café following but couldn't convert that into a viable wholesale business. Restaurants and offices didn't have the in-person experience that sold the product — they only had the packaging and the pitch. The brand looked like every other specialty roaster: minimal, brown, earnest. Nothing made Fieldstone's story land without the founder in the room.
"Fieldstone is built on the belief that great coffee doesn't need an explanation — just the right conditions to speak for itself. Roasted slowly, sourced intentionally, delivered ready to work."
Pillar 01
The Roastery as Story
The origin, process, and people behind the coffee — made visible at every touchpoint so the product carries context wherever it goes.
Pillar 02
Built for Wholesale
Separate messaging tracks for wholesale buyers — restaurants, offices, hotels — addressing reliability, consistency, and the brand value they bring to their own customer.
Pillar 03
Quiet Confidence
No claims about being "the best" or "award-winning." The brand lets the provenance and process speak — a tone that earns respect in a sceptical specialty coffee market.
